The Evesham Township Traffic Bureau consists of experienced patrol officers who have advanced training in Crash Investigation, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Detection and Prosecution, Radar Enforcement,Traffic Safety Education, Traffic Engineering, Traffic Studies, and Traffic Work Zone Safety.
Officers assigned to the Traffic Bureau are assigned to work during the peak hours where traffic crashes and traffic violations are most likely to occur, and this coincides with the high volumes that occur due to the 2 State Highways which intersect our jurisdiction. These officers also conduct a number of traffic safety programs including: Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspections, DWI Enforcement Efforts, Traffic Data Collection, New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety Programs such as “Click It or Ticket,” and “Drive Sober Get Pulled Over,” Traffic Engineering, and the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Program. The Traffic Unit officers frequently are deployed to different times and locations within the Township in response to complaints received regarding traffic issues.
We urge all drivers to dial 9-1-1 for vehicles that are driving erratically or in any manner as to endanger the public. Please provide a direction of travel, vehicle description, and license plate, if possible, to our dispatchers.
If any member of our community wishes to submit a traffic complaint outside of an emergency (please call 9-1-1 for all emergencies), please follow the below link. Our officers will evaluate the complaint and if warranted, they will conduct a comprehensive traffic study. If a complaint is found to be in need of further action, members of our Command Staff evaluate the complaint and formulate a deployment plan based on the results of the traffic study.
