The Evesham Township Police Department is recruiting for the position of full-time Police Officer.  We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working individuals for our police department. The Evesham Township Police Department is an internationally accredited agency whose members take pride in their proactive response to crime, disorder and quality of life issues. This approach recognizes our community’s high expectations for professional police services and has sustained a positive relationship with the community for many years. 
We currently employ 93 sworn police officers, 80 full-time police officers, 4 Special Law Enforcement Police Officers (SLEO II), 9 Special Law Enforcement Police Officers (SLEO III) and 12 civilian employees.  The department is organized into two divisions:  Operations and Administrative, and five bureaus: Patrol, Investigative, Support Services, Professional Standards and Internal Affairs.  We also offer various specialized assignments such as: K-9 Officers, Bike Patrol, Crime Scene Technicians, ATV Patrol, LEAD, Detective, School Resource Officers, Community Policing, Internal Affairs and Support Services.  We offer our future officers a modern facility, excellent equipment and a proactive approach to training.

Job Announcement:  CLASS II SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER 

The Evesham Township Police Department is recruiting for the position of Class II Special Police Officer. We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working individuals for our Police Department. The Evesham Township Police Department is a nationally accredited agency whose members take pride in their proactive response to crime, disorder and quality of life issues. This approach recognizes our community’s high expectations for professional police services and has sustained a positive relationship with the community for many years.

We are currently recruiting for a SLEO II Officer to serve the municipal court security function. When court is not in session, the SLEO II Officer will perform general administrative duties under the direction of the Support Services Bureau Commander. The hours for the position will be Wednesday and Thursday, 7am-5pm (20 hours per week). The position is assigned a rate of $25.00 per hour with the ability to work extra duty security and traffic details.

Candidates must possess a P.T.C certification as a Class II Special Police Officer (or wavier eligible) and have the ability to perform the essential job functions of a Police Officer. Candidates must be a graduate from a senior high school or shall have had formal education or training showing attainment of the level represented by graduation from senior high school. All successful candidates must pass a comprehensive background investigation which includes fingerprints, a medical examination and a drug test by urinalysis as well as a psychological examination where applicable. A negative result on a drug test by urinalysis is a condition of employment.  Applicants must also have the ability to read, write and speak the English language well and be of good moral character. Applicants must be a resident of the State of New Jersey and have a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Job Announcement:  Civilian Crime Analyst

The Evesham Township Police Department is recruiting for the position of a crime analyst. We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working individuals for our Police Department.

The Crime Analyst will perform the difficult statistical and analytical research involving the use of computer applications such as New World, Microsoft applications, InfoCop and other Federal, State and Local databases; random statistical samplings, correlation and regression analysis, and probability studies; gathering and analyzing crime data for crime pattern detection, suspect-crime correlations, target-suspect profiles, and crime forecasting; conducting analysis of traffic data and statistical performance data; preparing reports on data and trends for police personnel and commanders; making presentations to police personnel, members of the community, and outside agencies.

Preparing statistical and narrative summaries for reports and presentations to department management; converting numeric data into graphic mode; reviewing statistical documents for completeness and accuracy. The Crime Analyst works with and is responsible for managing the analysis for the agency in conjunction with our Intelligence Led Policing Philosophy, including DDACTS. The Crime Analyst will also perform tasks deemed necessary by the Command Staff and/or the Police Chief.

High school or have formal education or training showing attainment of the level represented by graduation from senior high school with a minimum of sixty (60) college credits from an accredited college. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
